Fake Replicas: The court even questioned whether Unnikrishnan Potti was part of an international idol smuggling racket. The court made the serious finding that there was an opportunity to take measurements of the priceless artifacts, create fake molds, make replicas, and sell them for millions in the international market [03:28], [04:05]. CM and CPM’s Liability: With former president Vasu becoming an accused, the Chief Minister and the CPM are bound to answer [05:43]. Satheesan noted that these incidents occurred when Vasu was the Devaswom Board Commissioner [05:58]. Devaswom Minister and Board Members: The government is attempting to protect the current Devaswom Board President and members despite their serious criminal negligence. The Opposition demanded the resignation of the Devaswom Minister and the immediate removal of the Board President and members [07:16], [08:03].   3. State’s Financial Crisis   Borrowing: Although the government claims there is no financial crisis, joint registrars have been directed to borrow ₹2,000 crores from Cooperative banks in Kerala to fund the schemes recently announced (like pension and DA). Political Issues and Alliance Expansion   UDF Expansion: Several parties have expressed interest in joining the UDF, and a decision will be made soon after the due process is completed [19:07]. Seat Sharing: UDF’s seat-sharing discussions are 90% complete across the state, and candidate selection is proceeding quickly [21:08]. Jamaat-e-Islami Support: Jamaat-e-Islami has offered support to the UDF since the 2019 Parliament elections, but they are not a constituent party. He accused the CPM of trying to create communal polarization by raising the issue, especially since Jamaat-e-Islami was with the CPM for 30 years and leaders like Pinarayi Vijayan sought their support [21:40].
