• ആർ.വി.ജി. മേനോനെ പോലുള്ളവരെ അധികാരം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ നാടുകടത്തുമായിരുന്നു എന്ന് തോന്നുന്നതായും, കല്പറ്റ നാരായണനെ പോലുള്ളവരെ പോലും അധിക്ഷേപിക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്തതെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു [00:24].

Hunting Down Critics: Government Intolerance Exposed

V.D. Satheesan alleged that the government’s intolerance is exposed by the attacks on experts and social activists who voiced opinions against the declaration:

• He felt that if the government had the power, they would exile individuals like R.V.G. Menon and that even respected figures like Kalpetta Narayanan were subjected to abuse [00:24].

• He cited Minister M.P. Rajesh’s statements as a prime example of this intolerance. He also took a jab at the CPI(M) state secretary, M.V. Govindan, quipping that while the Opposition knows everything, Govindan is the one who remains oblivious [00:54].

Opposition Questioned the Timing, Not the Aid

Satheesan clarified that the Opposition has never criticized the government’s action of helping 64,000 people. Instead, the Opposition questioned the timing of this announcement—just before the elections—and asked whom the government was trying to deceive with such ‘dramas’ [00:44].
